Used to be a 5-star app until iOS 8

James and Darlene

This is my favorite "captioning" app...except now with iOS 8 it's broken. Some purchased fonts don't display correctly and the app crashes quite often as well.

Need a few fixes

I'm like the last reviewer. I use this app quite a bit. But the purchased fonts aren't displaying correctly right now. I like and use the "Kerpow" font a lot, and it no longer displays correctly (just shows the standard iPhone font with a shadow). I will wait impatiently for an update :)

Would be 5 stars but

I agree the forced crop is irritating. I match my home and lock screens. I use the same photo on the lock screen with my name added. Making me crop the photo means they don't match unless I crop the home screen the same way. Since wallpaper apps give you photos pre sized cropping can mess up the resolution. Please make cropping a choice not automatic.

Bug

Haunted Ghost

This is a great app, but there's a bug in this version. When you try to export a still, the whole image gets cropped badly.

App breaking bug

egdilps

The latest version has an app breaking bug that causes the image to automatically be severely cropped during the saving screen. I've been happily using the app for about a year but this ruins it.

Fun

Simple, clean and fun!

Broken

Saved photo is useless thanks to crop bug. Don't waste your time trying to move text and image around, it will still crop out the right side. Fix it.

Once LOVED it, now despise it

What was simple and elegant — and which worked flawlessly on iPad — is now a scrapheap of nonfunctionality: switching from a vertical to a horizontal edit throws the whole interface haywire; there is no relationship between the edit (or preview) screen and the final result. And why! why!! why!!! does Photolettering insist on demanding my location? None of your business, Brand Design Co., Inc. Restore your product to the way it was, please, and then we can talk about where I live.

Awful

Wasted an hour. Looks like it's gonna be great, but horribly designed. A big mess. FAIL.

Forget it

First time I open it... Crash! Bad omen. Next I select a photo, resize it to fit one of their three pre-set sizes, hit go and it crops it to nothing that resembles the setting i.e. the preset "Square" edit was a long rectangle with both the top and bottom ⅓ of the photo gone. Okay; I'll try it just to make text and paste that in another app. For free you get just a few fonts. More fonts are 99¢ each. But then I start typing... No return key! Even though it has a selection for justifying it doesn't let you type more than one line. And then all that you can type in are 30 characters and spaces. I couldn't even save the one line and then start a second line as a new line. All you get is one line of type up to 30 characters and spaces. There are plenty of other FREE apps that let you type multiple lines of multiple length. This app is useless. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I'm fairly knowledgable about this kind of stuff. If the developer can let me know if anything I'm saying is incorrect I would be happy to hear.
