Photo Ruler ABC is the definitive solution for storing and sharing object dimensions.
You can also compute measures automatically using a reference of known size.
Are you a real estate agent? A contractor? An engineer? A designer? An architect?
Someone who wants to keep his house's measure at hand?
Whenever you need to save dimensions or measure objects, Photo Ruler ABC will help you to reach the goal.
Features:
√ Take photos and directly draw measures on them.
√ Input measurements manually or compute them automatically (for automatic measurements you will need an object of known size).
√ Internal database with most common objects of known size (CD, A4 sheet, card…) to be used as reference.
√ Automatic support for imperial and metric units.
√ Export your projects by email or to the photo library (requires Premium upgrade).
√ Import photos from photo library.
√ Support Retina display and convenient interface.
Photo Ruler ABC can not turn your iDevice into a professional measurement tool. The purpose of this app is providing a measurement tool when other dedicated tools are not available. Automatic measurements are only possible when you can place an object of known size beside what you are measuring. Comparing our results with those of a laser ranging device we found a 4% error at the most.
You will be able to manage a limited number of projects at the same time with this free version.

I'm not planning to measure the distance between Earth and Venus for a space mission... I'm looking for an approximate size of an object! Setting the reference measure is a royal pain, even when using the "standard" measures (CD, iPhone, credit card, and the always popular A4 paper!). Please go back to the drawing board!
clunky, poorly thought out user interface, with no way to move each end of the "measure" points independently. zoom feature doesn't work near photo edges. if you're trying to measure something, pick up a tape measure. if you're trying to measure large things, buildings, cars. etc, this app is worthless.
OMG, yes, this app is awful! It would be fine for just putting in the measurements manually, but useless as a measuring tool. Every time I went to make an adjustment, it just kept adding measurement points, rather than allowing easy edits. Furthermore, it obviously doesn't take any angles or changes in perspective into account. Thirdly, the standard measurements are annoyingly useless. An iPhone? Really? Why can't I just enter my own number as a reference? I wanted to kill myself after using this app.
Couldn't get it to work, kept crashing. Would have given it zero stars if that was an option.
Won't recognize US credit card regardless of orientation but CD works as reference. Have to recalibrate every time so it takes more time than a tape measure. Off about 1% on 30 inch measurement of kitchen cabinets.
