My toddler loves this app and I haven't even customized it yet! We've had it for several months and it still keeps him busy. It's simple but fun. There are no annoying ads and it's unbelievably free. I wish they made more apps like this.
great for my special needs child

My daughter does not have the hand dexterity to use a lot of apps purposefully, but this app is great. she slaps at it and it provides her with nice cause and effect. she LOVES this app.
Perfect play/learning app for little ones

This is perfect for my 1 year old ( I wouldn't recommend it for much older kids). It teaches her cause and affect and love the option to customize the buttons. She will play with it for a good while and I love that she's learning at the same time. Plus it doesn't hurt that it's free! =}

My stepdaughter loved taking pictures of the family over Thanksgiving and getting people's voices for the customized buttons on this app. It kept her entertained for hours and she loves looking at the pictures and hearing the voices months later.
A wonderful app for children with special needs

This is a wonderful app- it is easy to set up, easy to use! It is great for children with special needs, who are working on cause and effect relationships- when I do X, Y happens. The use of familiar pictures and sounds makes this so relevant.

It's fun. I took a bunch of pictures from my camera roll and added them. I have two suggestions: the buttons should be more resistant to sliding. It should take a more aggressive motion to make them push around. My baby tries to flip them over and Most of the time they just move a little. Also the button labeled "duck" is a goose.

Photo Buttons by Software Smoothie is an excellent introduction to using the iPad. It gives you a choice of a background to set, then just tap the screen to make the button appear, tap again to flip over the button to hear the recording and see the picture, finally tap to pop! Very nice photos and sound recording in this app. The settings allow for custom buttons where you can add a photograph for a button with a personalized recording. Use the camera from your iPad or choose photos from your photo library. I found a fun way to use this app....take pictures of students and give all students a chance to play which give them an opportunity to learn peer names. Uncheck buttons you don't want to use and display specific categories of pictures; toys, food, animals, etc. This is a simple app with lots of application with two language choices too (English and Nederlands) I definitely recommend it.
