There are so many words, sounds and ways for me to improve my English pronunciation. I like making my own phonetic 'code' too. My friends and I test each other and send emails using the easy phonetic typewriter!

It would be nice to hear the completed typed word to see/hear if you typed the word you wanted. Nice idea Dotp

Average. Will be nice to hear the complete word. Also it will be nice to give example-words of the particular sound. If you are a ESL like me it doesn't work as you may think. You need to be a native English speaker to follow. :/ I really want to gve this game 2 stars but it is impossible to show comments ugh!
IPA symbols are incomplete for English

I bought this app as I am a professional singer as well as a voice teacher and thought it would be a helpful tool. Having studied IPA extensively for my degree program, I was disappointed that not all vowel sounds found English are present. Also one vowel symbol is not found in English at all and is misrepresented as its close related vowel sound. Definitely needs work and refining.
