Its a good good game but I would like more tools and animals

I like this game, but... A lot of things are locked, and I can't figure out how to unlock them, so the game in all doesn't turn out very fun. I like the whole "being the vet" thing, but it doesn't feel like being a vet when your patient still leaves hurt.
