Peppermill provides the features I need to quickly turn my HD snapshots into preliminary and final commercially viable creations and it's also easy to use and provides the use with a fluid workflow. I love creating vintage looks and transforming the mood of my photographs. Peppermill makes this possible with tremendous variety.

Fun app to play with. Allows you to use different filters then most of your typical picture apps. Great!
Good basic photo filters.

Lots of filter effects for a free app. A bit slow when using them, both for generating thumbnails to preview them and when actually applying them. You're not able to modify filters however. Easy basic controls or rotation, contrast, sharpening, exposure, etc. Great exporting to other apps or album.

I was so surprised at how many filters there are! I'm a user of Instagram, but Peppermill really marries all the best aspects of the best photo apps out there into one seamless, easy to use program. I'm already having fun with this one!
