Based on the hit PBS KIDS series, PEG + CAT Big Gig is a musical app that invites you to pick an instrument and play songs with Peg, Cat and their friends in different worlds featured in the show – the farm, Pirate Island, the Magic Forest, and even the Purple Planet!
BIG GIG
In the Big Gig, while playing simple melodies from PEG + CAT, practice preschool math skills including identifying numbers, counting up and down by ones and twos, adding ones, and extending patterns. After you play a song, you’re treated to a show – characters rocking out just for you!
CAT DANCE
In the Cat Dance game, make your own dance routines for Cat, and help him achieve his dream of being a dancing star! Choose from different songs, costumes, and backdrops – from Dino Valley to Radio City Music Hall. Then, customize your dance routine with up to ten moves, while getting practice with ordinal numbers (e.g. First, Second, Third…). Watch Cat shake his tail while you add special effects, like fireworks, disco lights and stage decorations!
SOUND CHECK
In the Sound Check activity, explore and make music on your own! You’ll find a chorus of chickens ready to cheep, musical instruments, song loops, and characters who will sing and shout on your cue. You can even record your little ditty and play it back. The music you make is up to you!

Good idea for math concepts, but the games are all the same. There are no variations between each game. The "game" becomes redundant very quickly. You will see what we are talking about if you buy the app. Most pbs apps are great, but not this one, sorry.

It's always refreshing to find something that's not only educational but relateable to my preschoolers little world. I love hearing him giggle outloud when playing this game. Some may find the game redundant but unlike many other apps, this one keeps my preschooler engaged & having fun with math. And with a combo like that - i'd have to say it's pretty magical!

My 3 year old was bored with it after about 5 minutes. It’s extremely repetitive and basically consists of pushing a number over and over again. Save your $2 and just bring up the number pad on your device, that’s about as much fun as you’re going to get.

You have to get this game it's the best my favorite is the cat dance you dress cat up in costumes and it Gives you different costumes for different songs and different settings for song

Terrific app except that the sound quits halfway through playing. I have to delete then add back on to get the sound back.

Fantastic app but the sound goes in and out. I have to shut my iPad down and restart it just to get the sound back. Not much fun for my 3 year old. Please fix.

This app is educational and super fun! My 3yo loves it. Def a good choice for preschoolers! However, there is a bug with the sound as another user posted.... Sometimes it doesn't work. Please fix.
