Lost all data with update

Have used this app for several years and it was great. It updated last night and wiped out ALL of my data. Supposedly, it’s all backed up to iCloud but I can’t figure out how to recover anything from iCloud. NOT COOL. WILL BE MOVING TO ANOTHER APP SINCE I HAVE YO COMPLETELY REBUILD ANYWAY
