Poor instructions and CO- pilot option doesn't work

Very poor instructions on this application and no way to engage the CO-pilot option to help control the camera. All advertisements point to this option and it's not true. Very poor application GoPro and shame on you!
How do you control the camera?

While flying around I had the passenger app connected. And while it mirrored my controller screen, it did not seem to have any camera control. Does it only work if you are recording the flight? Wish there was a little tutorial in the app like when you start using it.
Not at all what the app described

First of all, I'm stuck st the "swipe up to begin" screen. No matter which way I swipe or where, nothing happens. To me, the description meant that if I downloaded the app, I could see all the nearby drones that are in the air, and see them. That would be amazing. To use the app, you need to know someone who is flying a drone. I wish that were clear when downloading.
No Camera Controls

I can view the feed from the karma (which is great by the way) but the camera controls never show up. I was excited to hear about this thinking a co-pilot could focus on the camera aspect.
