Perfect!

The cheesepuff king

It's an amazing app, but it would be even better if it had more particles.

Best boson app

Guadalupeg

This is the best explanation of atomic particles

Love it

Birdslover

Love the app but I wish u guys give more information about each particle

Makes learning easy and fun!!

TudorLover

Love this app. It takes what can be a dry subject to some people and makes it fun to learn. Great for sparking an interest in physics for younger kids.

I like it but...

Atidefan

Very cute app. Overall I like it, however in this latest version when I select a particle in the list on the left, the list scrolls to the very top. This is a bit annoying as I must then scroll back down the list to my last position.

Fantastic

A brilliant new way to learn about the workings of the universe. The plushies are a great idea.

I like it!!

NWScienceGeek

This is a great application for anyone with an interest in physics, very well done and intuitive.

Clever, well-written app

Great for laypeople to consult while reading popular physics books. I hope the developer will come out with additional science apps. One of the best iOS apps I've seen.

Love this app!

I love this app. Very neat and cute and what physics geek doesn't love those sneaky neutrinos?

A really fun & informative app!

We are living at a unique time in human history, when we are finally putting together the entire picture of how the largest-scale structure of the Universe (galactic super-clusters) is linked to the smallest-scale structure of the Universe (fundamental particles). We now know, for the first time, exactly how old the Universe is (exactly 13.7 billion +/- 0.13 billion years), how it has evolved, and where it's apparently headed evolution-wise (accelerating expansion toward a cold, dark end). One of the most important keys to grasping this knowledge is the wacky menagerie, the zoo, of fundamental particles from which the Universe is built. Particle Zoo describes all of the particles that are currently known and others that are strongly suspected to exist but more elusive than Bigfoot. Particle Zoo is updated as new particles are found, which is exciting. Want to know who these little guys are and how they "talk" (and sometimes don't talk) to each other and the rest of the Universe? Want to know what they each do for a living? Then get Particle Zoo. This app explains fundamental particles' behaviors and characteristics quickly and simply, without being condescending. I'm the most hard-headed engineer you'll ever run into, but I love Particle Zoo's little particle characters with their funny shapes, colors, and name badges! Frankly I'm jealous of the designer because I wish I'd thought of this myself. This is a terrific way to convey scientific knowledge to non-specialists. So here's the best part of all: We're right on the verge of discovering the long-sought-after Higgs boson. The breakthrough is probably going to happen soon at CERN's Large Hadron Collider. We think the Higgs particle gives mass to everything, including us. Finding it will allow us to finally explain, at the most definitive level, why people tend to go through windshields when they aren't wearing seat-belts. Finding the Higgs will support the so-called Standard Model of physics; not finding it will tell us that we need to re-think our whole approach to modern physics. Seeing the Higgs will confirm that we're on the right track for really knowing how the Universe is put together, what makes it tick, where it's been and where it's going. Since Particle Zoo updates you with new particles as they're found, if you have Particle Zoo you can not only learn about the Higgs and all other fundamental particles, but you'll also be among the first to know when (or if) the Higgs is found, likely sometime in 2012.
