Fun, intuitive, challenging

Particle Mace is great. The controls are dead simple, but the gameplay is fun and challenging enough to keep me interested for long periods. Plus, the graphics, music, and SFX give the game a great retro/arcade vibe.

So good! it was always crowded at the arcade so I'm glad i can play it myself. my only wish is that the control wheel could be anywhere on the screen. oh and multiplayer like the arcade version- but it's great!!!

High score games are not my bag, but a ton of folks were saying this transcended that genre and it does fo sho. Mission and ship unlocks keep a one more time playing mentality long after bed time has come.

I love the game but I've just run into a huge bug which makes it unplayable. In Mission Mode, I've reached 117 of the 150 missions and now suddenly the game freezes every time I go back to beat more missions. I'm running a 5S on the latest software. I've restarted the game and the phone to no avail. The game just stopped working. I tried app support but it seems the only way to report a problem is through Twitter, and I don't have a Twitter account. As soon as this is fixed, it'll be a 5 star game easily.

This is a great game with solid and innovative mechanics, at a fraction of the desktop cost. Buy it now. This game could use the ability to focus on one mission at a time in mission mode as playing "clover" with "asteroid belt" is infuriating. It could also use multiplayer, coop and competitive, like in the desktop version.

Fun game but in mission mode I'm at a spot where it spawns right in the middle of a black hole...die immediately on entering the level....which means no more mission mode...which means no new ships from mission mode...fix and I'll change to 5 stars, but now I feel I'm being killed of at least a third of the whole game.

I don't give five stars often but this game certainly deserves every one of them. It has a few modes -- most are high score arcade games (that are super fun) but what really impressed me were the 150 missions. The difficulty increased nicely over time and by the last mission I was a pro, it felt like I had really accomplished something. The controls felt a little odd at first but I got very comfortable with them in just a little time. Great minimal art, cool music and sound effects, and just a really rich game smartly built from a simple premise/game mechanic. Awesome stuff. When you're done with the missions you can chase high scores in the more arcadey modes.
