I use this app at least five days a week. When it actually works, it works okay. I’d probably give it three stars. However, at least once a week the app does not work. It won’t let me purchase parking, instead giving me a “network error.” But everything else on my phone connects just fine so I know it’s this app’s problem. Then I have to pay for parking at the meter.. which defeats the entire purpose of this app.
Bad app, Paid for Parking, Still got TICKETED

Used this app while in Austin. All info entered in correctly. Parked at 4pm, paid for two hours, returned to my car to find a ticket that had been issued at 5:02pm!!! Ticketed for not displaying receipt. Not sure how that was supposed to happen using their app. Guess the city of Austin figures that out of towners will just pay the $20 ticket rather than deal with contesting the ticket. Sound alike a pretty good scam of visitors pay rather than contest the ticket. So if you use this app be prepared to be ticketed or even towed. I have seen a few reviews of people who got towed in these reviews as well. Wish I had read the app reviews before using it. Hope to save someone else the headache of tickets or tows.
Throwing error messages

The latest versions are awful. They throw error messages when transactions actually go through, I can’t see my active session or any history. Fix the bugs!!!
They don’t tell you that you have to load a wallet

After using this for the first time, I’d say it is convenient, but misleading. Nowhere does it tell you that you *have to* load a wallet, $10 at a time, to use the app, until you are checking out. It also doesn’t tell you the fee in advance. So, although my parking session only cost $1.50, my credit card was charged $10. Now, whether I want to use the app again or not, I have to if I want to not lose the $8.25 (25 cent fee) remaining in my wallet.

This is a wonderful idea for an app, but there are zones all over the city where payment by app isn’t an option. Why have an app if you can’t use it? Likely, this is a City of Austin issue, but it’s definitely a problem. I hope Park ATX can figure this out, because I would love to not have to go back to the pay station every few hours to re-up my ticket.
Ripoff, just use the road-side machine

First, I had to pay the app $10 to preload my account. Second, it charges an addition 25¢ service charge each use. I’m doing the city a FAVOR in using this app to minimize the very costly ticket machines. And to say thanks, they charge me extra.

App keeps removing $10 each hour from my bank account &is now up to $80! Theres no response back from the “support” option &no phone number on the app. This is ridiculous. PLUS now city of Austin is charging $2 per hour for street parking, which makes the app $6.25 per 3 hours. lol. Yea. Im done.??

They took extra money from me when I didn’t use parking that day. When I looked at my balance the money they said was taken to recharge my account the money wasn’t there and when asked about it I got no response.
They’ll Charge your card as many times as they like

They charged my card 4 times in a row on the same day and I haven’t used the app in weeks. Support is unresponsive via the app. I’d stick to the machines.
