Parental control below expectations

Thought that the countdown would only start or continue whenever the device is being used. Instead it counts down from the moment it is set. You could use a kitchen timer for the same thing.

Doesn't work as described

Buggy app. Won't let me set the passcode to activate. Wish I could get my $3 back

This should be beta or free

minimal at best. Contdown starts from when set as previously stated. The shutdown at a specific time can only be set once so no scheduling. Can not set a time for the device to come on again so it is not possible to set on/off times for specific times in the day. Despite the claims this can easily be removed throughItunes by anyone so once your 9 year old figures that out (as mine did) pretty much useless

useless

This is a totally useless implementation of a really important bit of functionality. Though I am torn about whether to use code to enforce this or not, I bought this to experiment with using code to limit screen time for my 7 year old. That should mean I set the time -- 1 hour, e.g. -- and it watches how long the machine is active (not sleeping), and blocks its being active for more than 1 hour in 1 day. This doesn't do that. Once you set the timer, it runs whether the machine is active or sleeping. SO it's fine if you want to say "you can play for the next hour" but not fine if you want to be able to control total time in a day. The alternative (setting up windows of times when it can be used) is also uselessly complex. Overall, given the price (and the fact I had to replace an original ipod so this program could run), not worth it.

Useless with an iHome

Keen Dean

I bought this for my son's iPod so that it would shut down at his bed time. It turns out that when he plugs his iPod into his iHome (docking station) it totally disables the app an he can continue using the iPod!!!!!!!! You would think they would have tested this! Who knows, it may do the same thing with other docks, too!

Useless --Not worth even one *

Does not disable device as advertised. Just spews an annoying alarm which my teenager easily circumvented and made calls and texts after device was supposed to be "disabled." Would be a joke except it applies no parental "control" to reassure parents of acceptal use of device.

Hi um yah

fireymage

I spend three dollars Can't use the app because there is NO ENTER BUTTON FOR PASSCODE Srsly what's your deal dudes

not worth it!

This was the worst App I ever spent money on. Wish I had read the reviews ahead of time. Not at all what I expected. Thought I would be able to block hours on my teenagers I-pod touch but it only sets a timer that has to be reset each time you want to limit usage. Unless that is what your looking for don't buy this app!

Don't Spend Money!!!

PayanShonm

This is the worst app i've ever bought. It does lock the app for a current period, but doesn't lock your phone. TOTALLY USELESS

Very disappointed

Unfortunately I have to agree with everyone else. Other than a timer, this app does not perform it's intended purpose. My 7 year old just ignored the pop ups and kept playing his game. Save your money!!
