I like the concept of building your own island, but the waiting stinks. Whether it's waiting for buildings to be completed, waiting for tourists to visit, or saving enough money to buy the over priced, small sections of land to expand. Also it would be nice if there are more opportunities to earn crystals, but to get a lot of those you have to shell out real money.
