Recipe storage ninja!

The Paprika app is great! I mainly use the Browser feature to download recipes from web sites. Now I can find them all in one place. Love it!

One of the Best Designed Apps I Have Ever Used

This app is simply incredible at what it does, could not be easier to use, and makes finding and keeping recipes a snap. Hands down one of the most useful apps I have ever purchased, and by far one of the best values for what you get. Just get it, you will not be disappointed. Updated.... I cannot rave about this app enough, the grocery list feature is fantastic, the ability to download recipes from almost any website continues to amaze me, I could go on and on. Simply put this may be the best designed app of all time, other developers regardless of product should study their model. Perfect and unquestionably deserves the number 1 spot in food and drink it currently holds.

This app is great honestly

So, yeah the app may look a little dated, but it’s honestly a great app with tons of features. You should pay for it because you should pay for quality things. If you don’t pay for a product, you are the product. Best things: - Syncs between devices, including family share (eg my wife and I sync our app and we only paid once) - Auto download apps from websites. Recipe has 20 paragraphs of seo bs before the recipe? Who cares, paprika just downloads the recipe without the crap. - little features, like how the screen doesn’t go off while using, or how if you tap a time amount it starts a timer for you, or how it can scale recipes for you.

Update

Easygoing73

This was the very best until it wasn’t, the new upgrade has caused a problem with saving from Safari on the iPad, I have to go to paprika first then to the page in safari, if I don’t there’s no icon in the drop down box for Paprika! Once I go to Paprika, open it up, then go to Safari, it works! It wasn’t like this until the new update! I have recommended this program to so many people, so obviously I’m not happy about the way it operates now!

Best Recipe App

Love this app! Now, recipe apps are a tough rating since so many people have so many different needs/wants for them. There are objective and subjective components so really think about what you want or need when shopping. For me, I want an app to easily house recipes I’ve got clipped or are in physical cookbooks. I want ease of adding online recipes I find. I need the app to have easy sorting/viewing so I can meal plan and get ideas easily. I want the best possible experience when I’m using to cook. I want the app to sync well with my MacBook and iMac so I’ve got my library everywhere I am. And finally, I want an easy way to share my recipes with people and to print them, when needed. I don’t need the grocery planning/list components that this and many apps have. I don’t need the app to house or access a catalog of recipes beyond what I’ve chosen to add to it. Paprika for me does a really great job at the things I need/want. Highlights: the syncing works great, those as I recall I had to purchase multiple versions. And the desktop version I think I’m a few versions behind since I’d need to keep purchasing upgrades (that stinks). Adding recipes manually is quite simple, and I can customize my category labels (I’ve got everything from meal types to ingredients to origins to specific appliances like Instant Pot or grill or tagine set-up) so that I can quickly find what I need or view only my recipes for, say, grilling. And it has a SUPER slick feature to extract a web page into a recipe with shocking accuracy/ease. And you can still tweak it from there should it miss anything or you just want to make your own adjustments. As a “chef” who needs clear recipes to cook good food, this is great for me. And a recent update makes it so when you put app landscape it displays ingredients/directions side-by-side. That was lone thing I didn’t love, having to manually switch back and forth between my ingredients and my steps. My lone remaining gripe about the app is quite minor: they introduced a features recently where, if I’ve just copied a web address it automatically loads in Paprika when I open the app; so smart! But now it doesn’t work so I have to spend the 3.5 seconds to do it myself. So it all works fine I just wish it retained that extra genius. Maybe in the next update!

Cant import recipes from websites

retrofrugalista

I have an iPhone 8+ and yesterday I could import recipes from the web by opening the share ⬆️ twice because it didn’t populate PAPRIKA as an upload/share option. Today nothing. The app does not populate at all.

Amazing App!

Such a simple app but so well made. It never ceases to amaze me that this app can take any recipe in almost any format from a website and accurately copy that information into its recipe format. Absolutely indispensable part of my meal planning and cooking and shopping. Love it! Best app purchase I’ve ever made.

The best app I have ever used

P-way

Everything written about this app is true. I would only have one suggestion because I am a senior with swiss cheese memory: It would be helpful for me if the timer showed the amount timed at the end. This way I know to note whether it took 15 minutes or 20 minutes at the end. I have a timer on my oven like that but I love that I can set multiple timers on the app. Thanks !

Love it!

I have used several recipe apps and I love that I can keep my “recipe cards” all on my electronic devices. Paprika is my absolute all time favorite recipe app. Super user friendly!!! Easy to import recipes for the web. I love that I can tap on the ingredients and check them off as I put them in so I don’t forget any ingredients and the fact that it also has a timer. This thing is all inclusive! Best recipe app ever!!!

Still The Best

For people who still value cooking instead of prepared and fast foods this is the best there is for a modern recipe book. MacOS and iOS versions sync like clockwork, other people can sync your recipes if you want, and it prints nicely. Even from the iPhone. Wow, that’s magical. I’ve used at least three other recipe apps over the years, and hands down this is the keeper. Updating (Oct 2020) - I completely love this app. Printing and sync work flawlessly, there are rich formatting features if you want them, and very very flexible categories. I use this app pretty much every day, especially being on the house more now. It’s the best.
