I don’t usually buy AppStore games

I started playing Panmorphia LITE and when I reached the end of the LITE version (the cat statue) I was hooked. If you are observant and if you like easy-to-moderately challenging puzzles, this game will be very rewarding for you. Pros: - very beautiful and creative world - good game length for a first play through - easy mode added to help highlight things - Lydia seems to be a pretty responsive dev Cons: - The controls in the water and air can be a bit tricky, where if you aren’t careful to tap in the right place you end up going somewhere you didn’t mean to. - There was one part where I found something written somewhere but I never actually got to read or see it, which was a bit confusing. Same goes for the dry grass, not sure what that was for if it was for something. Notes: - The last puzzle is challenging. Some reviewers complained that it needed to be more obvious. C’mon, that’s what makes it enjoyable. I had thought that the game was broken and put it down for a week but when I came back I observed and tried new things and it worked. This goes for any other parts you find challenging or confusing, that’s the point, solve the challenge or take a break and come back with fresh eyes. It’s silly to complain that you’re puzzled when you are playing a puzzle game. - If you think you’ve exhausted your options, you can switch to easy mode to see if you missed something. It will highlight things. That helped me at least 2 times. When I found the things it was obvious I hadn’t tried everything and I realized I had to be more observant. - If you buy the Full Version as an in-app purchase from the LITE version, you still keep the LITE version of the app, instead of being prompted to download the full version. I think it would be cool to have them be the same app and then you unlock downloading the rest of the content. I went to download the full version (now that I paid for it I don’t like having “LITE” in the app title, I know, it’s silly of me) and it said I had to pay $1.99. Conclusion: I was a fan of Cyan studios games, so much that I bought Obduction when it came out. It always amazes me when a developer creates such a beautiful, immersive experience that carries you away to some far-off land they’ve invented. This game took me to a different world. I really don’t usually buy games or apps. The exception is when I find a rare gem I want to play or use. I have added Panmorphia alongside others I value like Limbo, Monument Valley 1 & 2, and The Elements. I look forward to any updates or new games from Lydia. Thank you Lydia!
