This application helps to improve the flamenco enthusiasts' sense of music timing by tapping the phone screen to the correct accent in the rhythm selected. We have chosen to begin with a popular flamenco rhythm of "Buleria". When done correctly the participant will hear shouts of encouragement along their way such as "Ole". If ALL the accents are hit correctly the participant will receive a maximum score of +25 and an "OLE!" at the end of the run. The rhythm chosen "buleria" can have the speed either slowed down or sped up - they have control as to how fast or slow they would like to take the challenge.
Every correct hit adds a point to the score and a miss subtracts a point. Hitting around all the accents will get you a minimum score of -34 and no shouts of encouragement.

I was pretty excited to find this app, as I'm very interested in learning more about flamenco rhythms. Unfortunately, the app stutters every time I tap the screen of my 3rd generation iPad, making it VERY difficult to follow the rhythms. I hope this gets fixed.

Thank you. Of, course, it would be, cooler, if yah, had it loop around, and stuff, you know like a twenty minute, jam session. Whatever, it's cool enough.
Ok but could be better

Always looking for new things to share with my students and other flamencos but this unfortunately disappointed me. Maybe I just don't get it? First of all, bulerias is referred to as a 6 count palo and it is a 12 count palo. I do like it as a tool to learn the bulerias rhythm but I think the "scoring" makes it confusing, especially without a key as to how scoring works. Being able to slow it down and speed it up is a great tool, but I agree with another reviewer that it's too short. Also wish there were additional palos.
