This hue app actually works. There are some nice presets for color schemes.
No special effects for Halloween

$3 for just Halloween music and no side effects. If you are looking to scare trick-or-treaters just purchase the Hue Halloween instead. ??

Overall this app works quite well. My biggest gripe is that the music doesn't continue in the background. Not sure if this is an iOS limitation but it means that I can't use my iPhone for anything else while this app is running.
Very disappointing

When it's running it's ok but the light animations stopped when my phone turned the screen off or I went to use another app. In other words this app had to be running and in the foreground for the lights to work. Useless for running animation, which is it's only purpose. And a minor UI point: the app gives no indication of the "palette" that it's running (e.g., an outline around the icon). If you're not in front of the lights when you change palettes on your phone you have no idea if the lights changed.

This is an easy to use Philips hue app with lots of great built in scenes to choose from. I really like the nutcracker scenes in the new Christmas lights. Great scenes! Great app if you have lots of hue lights.
