Just getting into it, but this is rather fun. Be aware, though, that you're playing a pregenerated character. The story is not free form IF like some, but rather more akin to the old gamebooks.

I very rarely leave reviews, but I am truly enjoying this game. Good story and role playing. Have to remember what character you are playing despite how you might feel. Pretty cool and fun I would highly recommend it

I love how there is no one right way to go in the story. The story shifts PoV from one character to the next, which surprisingly makes the world it is set in seem more immersive. The “right” choices you should be choosing are based off of the character you’re playing, what what their morals are. As for the story and world itself, it is not entirely original feeling, but the way it is carried out makes it feel quite fresh, compared to other interactive stories. A common problem among interactive stories is that they make the reader feel like the area they are in is the only part of the world. Paladins does not have that problem. From chapter one, the story gives you a sense of adventure, and that there is much more to explore in the game. The world is interesting, and I look forward to finishing the game. I’m only on chapter 4, but I am super excited to continue on with the story. I will definitely recommend this to friends.

A good game, a unique story

This was a good read on its own, and I enjoyed the “choose your own adventure” style play. Even the “bad guys” are well thought out characters with understandable motivations. Looking forward to the next book/game!

The characters draw you in, the story compels you to read on taking different perspectives, and your choices matter. Such a fun way to experience this fantasy world.

^^^ I would recommend this game to people who are not even into text adventures I enjoyed it so much. Also I hope to see other books from the series on here as well! I’d gladly buy the other two if made in this format!

I grew up with choose your own adventure books, adding a score ability gives it a nice rpg sense of play. Will check out more by this author.
