This app used to be great…

I used to love this app. I even purchased the effects years ago. Unfortunately, after getting my hands on an iPad again, I discovered a very pricey subscription model. The developer has stated this is due to Spotify changing their pricing structure. That could make sense if users had to pay specifically for Spotify integration. As of right now, I can’t do anything with this app without a subscription. That includes loading songs via Apple Music that I own. I have purchased portions of a product that are now behind a paywall. Yes, I purchased these features years ago, however this developer did not deprecate that application. No, they chose to keep the same application identifier, but fundamentally change the application itself. An extremely shady move.

App is not free even though it says it is…

I can’t play anything from Spotify. They make you pay to do anything…

This app is terrible now. You can’t find ANY music on it to mix. The update ruined this app

Dead app post Spotify

SuboptimalDnB

I bought all the effects years ago when it came out. After Spotify withdrew from supporting DJ apps, Pacemaker pulled the plug on its long term support features for a paid subscription model. No support for local iTunes files. No refunds on paid for effects packs. No access to any of the features without the 4.99 per week(highway robbery) sub fee. Used to be a great app, now it’s as good a a brick.

A great app that Spotify ruined

I think this app is good but it was a whole lot better before Spotify took away rights to 3rd party apps. Now there is barley any music that is worth using on the app. Yes their team is working on improving that but it’s not happening fast enough to be charge us $5 a week to even access the app. I think this app has great potential for improvement if the team works harder at trying to get the rights to music that isn’t on the radio or top 100s list. Instead of having people click a button on a song that says “this is unavailable”.. maybe reach out to your users and have them give you more in depth feedback on what we want out of this app.. because again $20 a month is pretty steep when there’s barley any content.

$4 a week for Spotify integration???

brownboynyc

Never write reviews but… So how do you destroy the best app in the business? Ask loyal fans to pay $4 a week to integrate with the Spotify account they already pay for! Roughly $200 a year? Nope.

A warning to others

I paid in full for this app and all of its add-ons previously. When I inquired about the removal of my access to an app that I paid for, I was given access to the old version via Test Flight, which has now been taken away as well, leaving me only to subscribe to pieced together half hearted software at an extreme premium. My only recourse now is to warn others to stay away. The app could change without warning and remove paid features or further degrade functionality for the same price or even more. You pay for access to the app. It never belongs to you. If you subscribe to it, treat it as if the features or the app itself could be removed at any moment. Don’t treat it as more than just a fun toy. It is the first app I’ve ever paid for and purchased all features because I was so impressed. At one time, this was exciting software. Fool me once…

lack of tracks

connorhanley5

look, i get that spotify revoked the use of third party dj apps but that doesn’t mean it should restrict me from using 99 percent of my playlist in my own mix. i think that using soundcloud would be a great idea to fix this problem plus it would give people more music to use and would resolve the problem of everyone’s mix being pretty much wiped after 3.0 AND a soundcloud account is FREE. even if i would have to buy a soundcloud plus account to be able to use tracks from there in my mixes i would. i just think that the songs im “allowed” to use shouldn’t be limited in any way especially since a subscription to pacemaker is so expensive. respectfully ending my subscription until i can get my mixes i’ve already created back.

eh

slattchoppa

it isnt how it used to be. you used to not have to get the plus version to use it. and the song suggestions dont connect with the music at all

What happened to my purchases?

So this app has decided to move to a subscription model, and now all functionality that I have previously paid for is now gone? I want a refund. This is criminal.
