I use this valuable resource 4-5 times each week. I wish the application was available for my MacBook Pro.

It seems as if every other opening of the app I am confronted with a pop-up message that demands the owner of the app (me —I paid for it) to "Rate the App." In order to remove the clickable message and get down to the business of definitions, it presents only two options: "Not Now," implying you WILL rate it at some point. The second option is "Rate 5 Stars." I need not waste words explaining why that's just wrong. Some of the words running across my thoughts are "boorish," "gauche," "unctuous." So here I am rating it.

I love learning a new word each day and I enjoy using the app, especially since it’s easy to use and I can take it anywhere without the need for WiFi or internet access.

Oxford is still the gold standard in dictionaries and NOAD remains the most useful one for American readers and writers. Clear definitions, helpful etymologies and examples, clean design. I use it all the time.

Five Stars! This dictionary is very useful when I need to look up a word I found online quickly.

The new cartoonist look is something I would expect from W$&?!$so dictionary. Not Oxford. And I'm tired of being repeatedly asked to give a five star rating. Back to the classy AHD.

We can search a lot of word without internet, everywhere I go, I can use this dictionary. But I also like Oxford advanced leaner‘s dictionary. In this Oxford American dictionary, there are more words. Saving search history is very useful feature. Anyway I love this app.
