If the numbers and info were correct it’d be great I’m sure.

Why aren’t peaches and plums included

Very Helpful App

I was at a loss when my husband was instructed to follow a low oxalate diet after a bout of kidney stones since this info is not on nutrition labels. While this doesn’t include detailed info, recipes, or every food product by name or brand, it’s a great free tool for food shopping and for supplying an answer for hubs when he asks, “Can I eat that?”

It won’t let you add your own foods.

I like to cook a lot and go to smaller restaurants. This app does not allow for the addition of food that isn’t listed in the app. Many common foods such as biscuits and lunch meat aren’t listed in the app. It makes the app almost pointless to the point I’ve considered writing my own app just to allow for there to be something better on the market. This app was suggested by my urologist after I got a kidney stone and I just wish there was a better app out there.

Super Convenient!

This app is easier to use and, more importantly, more accurate than the other low-oxalate app in the App Store. I finally feel like I can manage my new lifestyle. Would love an iPhone X update tho!

Great app!

Excellent app! Works very well, designed well, intuitive. I'm a software QA engineering manager, so I know something about software quality. It just needs more items, more data. I see it's fairly new and trust programmer will update with more data. I would pay for this if it had comprehensive data.

Good Start, but more flexibility is needed

This App meets a need for those who need to track oxalate levels. The list is handy, although the way it's alphabetized is odd in some places. The color code is good. But since some users might wish to track their actual oxalate intake (e.g. When a diet recommends staying below a certain daily level), it would be very useful to actually get levels of oxalate per serving and be able to then compute a fraction of a serving. Yes, a cup of almonds is very high, but what happens if I use a tablespoon of slivered almonds onto a salad? I can't see how to quantify that.

Confusing, poor information.

The app doesn't give you the actual oxalate content of the food, it gives you a number. What does the number mean? Who knows! There isn't an explanation of what the numbers mean. They do group foods into Low to Extremely High oxalate count, but it doesn't help without the actual oxalate count. I thought there was some function that would give you a total of your oxalate intake, but evidentially not. When you look at a serving of a food there is an option to "add another serving", but when you press the button all it does is literally put another serving on the screen. It's a decent fast reference, but not useful in doing any real diet planning.

This app has me frustrated ! Why aren’t the foods listed with the value in ml? If your trying to stay at 50 what good does this app do if you can’t add up the count ?

Easy Access for better decisions

I spent the first year of try to navigate a low oxalate diet relying on a very limited list from my doctor and the lists online that had some conflicting and confusing information about what was okay and what was not. When I had another urine test, my oxalate levels were still too high. I went looking for an app and found this. It makes deciding whether or not to eat something easier. I found foods on this that were problematic that I had been eating fairly regularly. I feel more informed. There is no more “I think this is okay”. A low oxalate diet is extremely challenging. This app helps me do better at it.
