Overloud TH-U is stage ready: you can fully control it using any MIDI pedalboard and play with no gaps thanks to the seamless preset change feature.

Overloud TH-U can process your guitar sound while the device is playing a backing track through your preferred App (Music, Youtube, Anytune, …).

Overloud TH-U has a flexible sound chain: you can add any number of effects, change their order with no limitations, and set up parallel chains of effects.

With the Amp Tweak feature, you can customize the amplifiers by changing the preamp and power amp tubes, and simulate the action of a Variac.

The ReSPiRe 2 technology allows you to choose between the real response of the cabinet and a processed version optimized to fit into a mix and avoid frequency overlap with other instruments.

? iPad Pro w/Apogee Jam 96k = SONIC HEAVEN ?

As a longtime TH-U desktop user (TH-2 -3), I remain impressed at how easy it is to get absolutely killer tones from Overloud, simple as that — far easier than investing hours sculpting Helix tones, digging thru Positive Grid Cloud profiles, or tweaking tube biases, rearranging pedals in the chain, etc. This TH-U iOS app is fantastic, nearly a Home Run — easily a solid double, maybe three-bagger. It’s not without a couple limitations I feel noteworthy. Namely NO RECORDING and lack of AUv3 / IAA connectivity Once these are implemented this sim definitely goes to the top of the list. I’m not knocking Bias FX 2, or Tone Stack, I love them both, but this (and Nembrini) just sound less digital to my ears, and are outstanding signs of things to come. As a first v1.0 release I’m pretty floored by how much Overloud got right. * sound = absolutely phenomenal * usable default preset tones, tap and play * top-notch effects, delays, echo, reverbs are lush and spacious * cleans and high-gain both sound spectacular * inheriting credentials from your Overloud account is nice ( don’t even mention my harrowing experience w Positive Grid support using Bias FX bundle on 2 iPads linked to different Apple IDs) * I bought TH-Full on my iPad Pro, and one-click restore purchase on my wife’s iPad and I’m in business - simple ) * prev purchased Rig Libraries for $0.99 are a nice gesture and compel me to buy more Rigs on desktop that I had been on the fence whether to purchase. * UI / UX is done fairly well, though I did get slightly confused navigating from tone bank to tuner, etc * the pricing description I presume will be made more clear, that TH-U full includes all effects and pedals, though even after purchase the store still shows price tags on items I already own, instead of purchased * MIDI implementation seems well executed I feel Overloud nailed so much on the first try, I am AMAZED how polished this v1.0 release is What they missed - import from desktop patch banks works, but should be one global system wide Export / Import. Most useful would be writing to iCloud one global patch bank that desktop and iOS can both manage, instead of forcing users to try and manually keep them in sync. This would be HUGE imho - LOOPER , I don’t like desktop implementation, nor this (only crash I had after a day of testing ) - NO RECORDING or ability to save loops?? this greatly impacts usefulness as a practice or live tool only - NO AUv3 , IAA or other connectivity?? relegates this to a stand-alone app - apparently no support for 3rd party IR Impulse Responses (yet?) - learning that XCode, Logic Pro X and Final Cut Pro X are being written for iPad / iPad Pro , it’s only a matter of time before a majority of audio apps add AUv3 / IAP / IAA Interoperability I don’t want to let these few shortcomings minimize my usage, I really think they nailed this app, and it can only get better ? Great job team ?????? ?

Unbelivable Tone

This app sounds as good as my hx stomp ...... The tones are realistic ! They feel great !

Not working on iPad Pro
mjonesjr8

Much as I love TH-U on the PC this is not working at all. I’m using it with my AXE I/O and all I get is the unprocessed sound. GE Labs works fine so I’m not sure what the issue is. I hope they get it worked out soon I’ve been waiting on this for months since it was hinted back during winter NAMM. I’ll report back if they get it working. Under Global information everything looks correct and the tuner even works, so I’m not sure why it won’t process the sounds. Update, the great support team has resolved all The issues I was having and it’s working fantastic now. Thank you Overloud!

Audio interface issues
Really?2011

I have a TC Helicon Go Guitar Pro USB/lightning audio interface that has extremely low volume output with this app. No other iOS app has this issue with the interface. The app also requires I unplug and then plug back in the audio interface before it will work. Some strange bugs need addressed before this app is useable.

Oh man......I’m in heaven.....
phoner

Truly awesome.....the RnB Funk pack just nails all the sounds I love. Sounds are on par or better than my helix stomp.....there goes my whole day in guitar processing heaven....

Awesome tone
Rrocxxxx

I have the PC version and it is amazing so when I saw the iPad version I had to have it. I went ahead and upgraded to the full version and I’m glad I did. I only wish Overloud would make it inter app audio and Audiobus compliant so I can use it with my DAW. I think this has great potential to be the best amp and effect sim available. UPDATE TO MY FIRST POSTING I was looking on the Overload web site and they say “ AUv3 version coming soon!” Based on this I would give them six stars if I could!!

No IAA or Audiobus support
Dark Horse (NB)

I wanted to like this but with zero support for IAA and or Audiobus support, it’s basically useless as is. The GUI is promising and the tones are decent. I do like the slider control for visual purposes rather than rely on knobs etc. Once they get the bugs out and integrate into the iOS ecosystem, they might be a contender but without it this app is essentially useless as is.

Give it IAA or AUV3 and I’ll give it 6 stars!
cloud700

For those of us using iPads and Cubasis 3, Auria Pro, etc. for our music production this app as great sounding as it is .. is useless. If/when it gets AUV3 or IAA I’ll buy the full setup and rate it again. I’m hopeful .. Hurry guys :)

Amazingly great!
Namratiug

This has got to be the best sounding guitar amp sim I have have ever played. Not only sounds accurate but also has the feel.
