Great alternative and free resource

I use my library card from LAPL to log into and download books to my overdrive account. I’m impressed by the user interface and free service. Recommended for library fans.

I’ve used Overdrive for 3yrs and have listened to over 500 books. It’s great to listen to books while doing housecleaning and especially long distance travel. I download to my tablet and listen while I cover the miles (leaving my phone free). I also do ebooks. Search is easy to use. Love this app!
Terrible downloads

Every time there is an update, downloads don’t work right. This program does a terrible job switching between libraries as well. Previously remembered user names and library numbers. Ever since the last few updates, it is more trouble than it is worth.

It was a really good app if your on a long road trip or if you are going to sleep ? or if you have to read the 20 minutes or 1hour you can easily get that done ✅ if you have a good headphones ? it is better overall I ❤️ it

The waiting lists are long and the all the books I’m on the waiting list for become available at the same time,it’s a pain but what’s to expect from something that’s free it’s happened a lot and then I’m picking one just to be put back on the waiting list again for the others, it must be a law or something why have a wait for a digital book?

This app has come a long way and is so easy to use across several library systems. It is easy to use now, interfaces with Kindle reader, has many great features!!!! I am on a budget and this has opened my world! Thank you! My only request is that it be easier to return a book that was borrowed into Kindle reader. That way I can get it back for others to borrow. Thank you!
