The flash is used to light up the image when you touch the 'flashlight' icon on screen. It is only on when you want it on. With that said, continued use of the flash may dramatically decrease battery life.

App crashed or froze after I clicked on the settings. It did work OK prior to that but worthless now. Paid $0.99 for app then $1.99 to not have ads. Money down the drain.

Got it for the magnifier but it can not focus on something with little contrast (coins) and, unless your hand is VERY steady it will be hard to read whatever you have magnified. The mirror iworks but the image is dark - unless you are outside in the sun. Of course, then the screen glare prevents you from seeing the image. OK in a pinch but below average.

This app works fine - it's just limited by physics and technology. It doesn't focus well in low light/ low contrast situations, and a digital zoom will never be as good as an optical one. Even so, it comes in handy when trying to make out small print or check my finger for splinters. The light is also handy at times.
