Best choice for RSVP

Flexible size, speed, and modes. Solid Instapaper integration. Bookmarklet allows web pages to be opened easily without using Instapaper or Pocket as well. Maybe integrate an extension to read Safari pages in Safari? Regardless, tried them all and this is the best.

I love the app

ErickC2013

I'd absolutely recommend this app.

Doesn't support PDFs

Dante&Cake

Yeah, doesn't support PDFs.

It reads traditional left to right

Lauraraewells

Was looking for a speed reader that "blinks" individual words, rather than just a Sesame Street prompt that leads your eyes left to tight in the traditional means by putting words in bold at a timed intervals

Keeps Crashing When Opening App

Lot of potential. Squash the bugs

For English only

jostyee

It doesn't support language like Chinese. update: downgrade to one star This app has some pitfalls. For example, the statistics page has a share button, which would prefill not your stats but a bait phrase "My reading stats in Outread" with its purchase link, hooray, such a fantastic promotion method I've never seen before.!

Does what it says well

Stormburn

Works very well. However, the metronome sounds are very quiet, importing files must be done one at a time, and there is no way to synchronize across devices. You can synchronize some files via instapaper and the like, but not epub and afaik, it still wouldn't sync reading progress. Minor problems overall, though.

Please let it store images

I read a lot of things with context based on image references and this app removes them.

Convenient and helpful

I'm Dapai

I had very good experience with this app. It really helps me focus on what I read and read faster. It would be better if the users could highlight the materials.

Best so far

I’ve had quite a few speed reading apps, and this is by far the most affordable and useful. No complaints. I do wish algorithms could deviate the speed a little based on word complexity or syllable count. My brain doesn’t naturally process all words at the same speed.
