Version 3.8
• Open In... support
• Ability to hide the outline list on iPad
• Minor UI tweaks
Version 3.7
• iOS 9 multitasking support
• One-tap access to notes on iPhone. To enable this, some UI was shifted around. The item chevron is gone, replaced by the "item info" toolbar button that previously only existed on iPad. The delete button was removed to make room for this, so swipe-to-delete is the only deletion mechanism.
• iOS 8.0 or higher is now required
Version 3.6
• Added zoom to focus on a single subtree
• Support for iOS 8 and the new iPhones
Version 3.5
• Automatic sync
This app is excellent, and I uses on a daily basis. This should have been a native app for iOS My only wish is better printing options (at least for the web page) like printing a selection or only a sub-tree After years of use, I keep my opinion with this App... “One of my most used and dependable App” Glad to see it up to date with the latest updates of iOS
I switched to android, and there simply isn’t an app that is as useful for outlines as this one. This was one of the main reasons I came back to iPhone. Bought it again instead of using old account, just support the author of such a useful app. Glad to have it on my phone again.
This is an absolutely excellent tool. It would be perfect if outlines could be exported to Word in an outline format. As a writer, i would much appreciate such a convenience.
The app provides for the use of tags. I had intended to make an outline of a project and use tags to identify resources and people for each item. The developer just told me that tags can only be applied to a WHOLE outline, not individual entries. Makes the app useless for my purpose. Why tag a whole outline when you have a title. Support, when explaining this limitation asked. “Does that make sense?” Well...no.
I do surveys and this tool is a game changer. I love it. I can give my client a copy of my “report” as soon as I’m finished. It took time to set it up but it has saved me so much time. It was easy to learn and use.
My go-to app for personal, business & university teaching. Intuitive and easy to use. One small suggestion: If there was a way to put projects into folders such as home, business, School, etc. as they say in Texas “I’d be in Hog Heaven!”
I’ve been using this app for years and it is still one of my all-time favorites.
I just pulled some notes from this app from a trip six years ago, and that reminded me to give this program a long-overdue great review. It’s wonderful to have information and lists so readily available. I use this Outliner for do-lists, shopping lists, as a short-hand diary, and for project planning. I take notes at conferences; having all those notes/logs in one place is a great asset for my work. Easily exported with OPML if needed. The beauty of this app is its simplicity and reliability. The one bad review was probably user error. This program has never, ever crashed on me. I use it on an iPad and an iPhone, and sync to the cloud. There are so many costly, overblown outliners on the market. But for daily use, Simplicity Rules!
This is a very well thought through solution that makes creating multi-level outlines super easy. It’s a pleasure to use. My one request is for hyperlink support - making links in the outline or notes tappable will extend the app’s usefulness even more.
