Osy Osmosis is a fun game for all ages where you must help Osy stay safe as she navigates through her world collecting stars. You can control where Osy goes by touch or by tilt, but be careful, as you progress, more dangers will present themselves. To help Osy, you will use osmosis to keep her in balance with the world around her.
In this new version, Osy is the first game to show the key elements of osmosis as you play, namely bound and free water molecules. The textbooks get osmosis wrong - Osy gets it right!
Osy was developed by a group of researchers, educators, and developers at the University of Georgia (UGA), with support from the National Institute of Health (NIH) Science Education Partnership Award (SEPA), The Georgia Research Alliance VentureLab, and UGA. IS3D LLC was formed by members of this group to design and develop future education simulations and games. All profits from Osy will go towards the creation of other educational games and interactive software.
This game has funny sound effects. Sorry I keep popping you Osy!
Marketed to look a lot like the well-known Osomos app. Terrible graphics in this game. Don't waste the money.
Don't know what the other reviewer's problem is. I've played Osmos, it's nothing like this game. Sure they both share the letters "osmos," in the title, but can you fault this game for being about the biological concept Osmosis? If anything, the developers are just being honest about the game's educational roots. I think it's a great game. Simple, yet interesting in how it uses osmosis as a mechanic.
Educational and fun, this game is awesome! Teaching your kids this stuff early makes science class easier later.
