The Battle for Moscow – the Germans code-named it ‘Operation Typhoon’ – started on October 2nd 1941.

The capture of Moscow, Russia’s capital, was seen as vital to the success of Operation Barbarossa. Hitler believed that once the heart, Moscow, had been cut out of Russia, the whole nation would collapse.

This is a solo player wargame in which you get to play both as the Russians desperately defending their capital and as the Germans equally desperate to capture it. Whoever holds Moscow at the end of the wargame wins.

Fun game but crashes
Lolo the monkie

Never make it through a game. Fun though. I hope it gets fixed.

Good So Far
BullSeye56

Easy to play, no A.I. but you can play both sides. Another reviewer said you can’t advance after winning a combat, but you can. You have to first touch the unit you want to advance and then touch the vacated enemy hex to advance into.

Meh
timefortriffids

Spontaneously and randomly aborts.

Old-school East front game
TheDudeAbided

Old school hex and counter game on the German assault on Moscow in 1941. Very simple to learn introductory wargame. All looks good, except it’s crashed every time before I finished.

Freezes up
GreaZZyOne

Enjoyable to play while it runs. Played one complete game out of three attempts. Froze up during play on second attempt and just closed up during play on third attempt. Would consider purchasing other games, but not until this app runs correctly.

constant CRASH, no save

It’s a fun game until it crashes. And there is no save, so you start all over if you close the game or it crashes.

Easy to learn, historically accurate
NorthMI

Reminiscent of the pc game Eastern Front 1941 but on a smaller scale. Game is historically accurate in that at first the Germans can advance easily but as you continue the Russian supply and reinforcements turn the tide. Taking Moscow isn't too hard but holding it is difficult. A good easy to learn hex movement war game for beginners to the genre. My only complaint is that it sometimes crashes halfway thru the game.

Shows some promise
Donczirr111

Looks good - but needs AI, sound, fix on after combat advance (it shows an arrow and highlighted hex but attempt to move in and no good). Looking forward to further development of this game.
