Asks for me to change my location sharing every 5 seconds

This app would be about a 3 star app but due to the fact that you have to click “Cancel” every couple of seconds while using it (or just share your location with onstar all the time) it gets only 1. To open my app and start my car, I have to hit “Cancel” 3 times to the prompt that urges me to change my privacy settings. No I don’t want to share my phone location with you Onstar and I don’t appreciate being asked 30 times a week. And lol I guess Duckdestroyer thinks these people periodically come back to see if anyone has commented about their reviews. Those 2 dropped points aside, I completely agree it lacks support and simple features that could make it great. It’s just a VERY basic app. That said, it usually does accomplish (while inconveniencing some of us) the basic things it’s supposed to. I am able to start my car or check the doors are locked from blocks away in a basement when my car is on the 7th floor of the parking structure... once I combat all the repeated requests Update: 05/29/2018 they fixed the invasive request issue and so they get 2 stars back
Remote start has not been working for MONTHS

I commented a while back saying the feature of remote start hasn’t been working since the update. Well I just updated it and shocker....it’s still not working. Why is this?? What’s the point of the app? Living in Texas it would be nice to have the option to remote start to begin cooling off the car. Please fix it!!!

Called them because I locked my keys in my trunk and all they had to do was hit a button to unlock my vehicle but continued to tell me that I need to push the blue button IN THE CAR! My keys were locked in and the doors were locked, how do you want me to do that. So they then went on and said that they don’t have info on me owning my vehicle? Literally TRASH! Would not recommend ANYONE to purchase their service.

My husband and I have each had this app ever since we bought our Chevy truck in Feb 2016, and it's not reliable. When it works, it's pretty cool. But!!! we've each had to uninstall and reinstall twice and I'm just now doing it for the third time. When we first got the app, we had Samsung phones and now we both have iPhones, so it seems to be more about the app than the phones. Here are the problems we've had with the app: it's super slow locking/unlocking the doors; it has failed to work at all several times, which led to uninstalling and reinstalling; and most recently, when I tried to start the engine, the icon's circle -the one that indicates "in process"- went around and around and around etc FOR 10 DAYS! I tried to exit and stop it, I turned my phone off several times, I tried to uninstall the app but it just kept asking me if I wanted to share it, and then I finally called Onstar and the guy basically indicated that the problem was either me or my phone. Maybe he actually found the problem because the circle has finally quit going around and I uninstalled. Not sure whether I'm going to try again.

I loved this app before they updated it. Now I’m unable to start my vehicle and lock doors using my phone. It’s a useless download now. Do NOT waste your time. Way to go OnStar
