Using your iPhone®,iPod touch®, or iPad(TM), easily control your Onkyo or Integra network receiver through walls, floors, or anywhere you can connect to your receiver over your home network using wifi. Simple enough that young children are able to use it. Multi-zone functionality allows you to make input and volume adjustments to speakers in other parts of your home, without having to set up complicated infrared repeaters, or expensive home control systems.

Another benefit of communicating with your receiver using wifi is bidirectional communication. If you change the volume, input, or other receiver settings through the infrared remote control or through the front of the receiver, the status is automatically updated on the OnkoTron display. That means that you can view real-time status information about your receiver without having to see your television monitor, or the receiver display.

Late night TV watchers will love OnkoTron, because not only does it help adjust the subwoofer and center volume levels, to avoid keeping up your kids, or room-mate, but it also can be seen in the dark.

You can navigate the onscreen setup menus, control digital media playback, and set repeat and shuffle options. If your DLNA media server provides the correct album and artist meta-data, album art is also displayed when possible. You can also select Internet radio presets.

Reviews

Works Pretty well!

MAKE SURE TO TURN ON NETWORK CONTROL!!!! Loved devinoff for my denon reciever. This app works fairly well but lacks the exactness need to control properly. It has no controls for using net controls, pandora or any NAS music. Does switch inputs as stated and can adjust most Chanel levels and sound output. The volume control does work but not in -db. App has crashed several times. A few updates needed and would then give a strong 5 stars! This app is a great start and look forward to further versions!!!!!!!

Works great!!!

Can't wait for more features... Would love to be able to interface with Pandora.

Great Start!

I like this App, does what's advertised. But needs more features. TWB

Performs as stated. Needs more features.

Excellent Beginning!

The feature set presented is well executed, but there are many, many more features needed for typical users of these receivers. It is completely understandable though that more were not included in the initial release, especially given Mr. Gardiner's independent development resources. The choice to present a few well thought out bits of functionality that work is appreciated. I eagerly await the updates that I assume are forthcoming. In fact, I'd volunteer to help develop if there is a roadmap in use to add more functionality. Three cheers for a great first step!

not enough options

This application is too expensive to only allow the power changes. The oRemote iPad Apllication is 1000x better !

too little, too much

This remote doesn't do enough for me. After enabling the remote control on my receiver the app still didn't work, so did a factory reset on the system and upgraded the firmware after which the app was able to communicate with my receiver. I like that the app is able to power up the receiver and adjust the volume remotely, but where are the other features? I'm unable to scroll through my over 1,000 CD digital library or navigate Pandora. I still have to walk down stairs to set the source playing. If I wasn't restricted by my iOS of 3.1.3 I would try the oRemote instead. I look forward to this app being upgraded with more functionality soon.

Nice and simple
SMU Control

I actually like Onkotron better than oRemote for everyday use. For me fewer options means easier use when I'm entertaining. I can pull out my iPhone and make an adjustment more quickly than with oRemote and certainly faster than with the Integra remote and OSD. My only complaint is that Onkotron thinks my DTR 50.2 only has two zones when it actually has three. Not a big issue though since I can use the TX-NR807 profile that has three zones and works fine. With Onkotron, Apple's Remote app and iVera I can control pretty much everything in my house from my iPhone!
