Great way to practice your scan. CFI approved!

Excellent!!

Great practice for both students and instrument pilots to improve your instrument scan. Well done!

Simple, cheap, and does the job

Just the primary instruments plus the tach. Van extremely useful tool for initial ifr practice and the instrument portion of ppl training. It even has inop instrument challenges where the attitude indicator will slowly fail. Probably has other failing instruments I have not seen yet. Only reason not 5 stars is because I think it's missing a realistic lagging effect where the roll of the plane lags behind the control input. Otherwise it's great.

Incorrect Dynamics / Stability

The program requires holding the iPad at an angle to keep the aircraft in a bank. I'm a CFII and, uh, no! Please make the control inputs / flight dynamics / stability work similar to X-Plane.

Great format and good intentions.

The game/challenge format of this app is brilliant, as it motivates IFR students to try harder. It is good to get your eyes moving in the appropriate patterns across the instruments as a beginner. But the down side is that the criteria for earing points is incorrect, as it does not follow the primary/supporting instrument rules for each maneuver. That carries the risk of developing an incorrect instrument scan. For example: - Climbs should be done a constant speed, like 75, not 100 and 500fpm - Descending at 500 you loose points no matter what. That is a bug. This application has great potential, but IFR students should stay with XPlane at the risk of developing bad habits with this app.
