A great way to avoid bank fees, and a smarter way to transfer money internationally

I had been looking for a way to transfer funds between my accounts in Europe and the United States for several months, until I discovered OFX on Google and decided to set up an account. Now that I use their service, I cannot remember the last time I had to pay a fee to my European bank to transfer money to my U.S. checking account.
Worst company ever

They took my money and held it for over a month only to end up saying “we can’t process this transfer” and so I had to ask my bank to submit a recall request in order to refund the money they took back to my account. Absolute waste of time, never going to use this company again, and I’m going to warn others away from it. Do not use this awful service.
Disorganized service

Used the service for the first time 2 months ago, was able to send money abroad no problem. Two month later, I try to send money to the exact same person, and nothing happens for days. Then I get a call out of the blue from OFX, asking me to reverify my info, which I did. Then I get an email a couple days later asking me to verify for a third time!! Frustrated, I called in and for the money to be sent back which the rep obliged. However, now today they are saying they can let transfer my money back!! So here I sit, on hold with OFX once again...
Rogue app

Bug - This app has gone completely rogue on iOS 14. It is no longer shown as in installed app, so there is no way to remove it. But if you go to the App store and search OFX… it shows as installed with the option to “Open” it. Why is this app hiding? How do you uninstall it if it’s not shown on any screen???

Banks will rob you to transfer money. OFX transfers money so close to the actual exchange rate it almost makes you wonder how they make any money. Love love love this app.
Extra fee

You advertise a free of charge transaction; however, you, nowhere, mention that internally you collect your share of the money. You advertise that you provide the best exchange rate on the market and you have a button in your app to show it. It looks so good so that you go ahead and start a transaction, just to find out that the transaction includes a different exchange rate than the previously shown on the other page in the App. I switched from my bank to this App to transfer money because “it was FREE of charge fees; which it is not the case. My bank BVAA at the time of the transaction shows all the fees that were applied right in front of you. Clearly a more transparent approach! Cheers
Other verification method

I like the app, but I would prefer to have a different verification method than 2-step verification. Due to travels, my phone number changes and it makes this difficult.

I was initially told that the transfer will happen in 3 days but when I call to check the ETA, I don’t get the right response. When requested to escalate the call to the manager, I was put on a wait for really long and then I eventually dropped off. Do not use the app/service ever.
