Description is misleading at best

The description for the free version flat out lies about its compatability with different file formats. If you want to open - not even edit, just open - anything other than Microsoft Office formats you must pay $19.99 for the "premium" version, which is sold separately on the App Store. That is what is called a bait and switch. Shame on you.

Junk.

Not spending money on junk. Will delete since you require cloud and I will never use a cloud so I can be hacked. If I can’t use local storage I don’t use app.

Not quite perfect

We use OpenDocuments extensively on our IT systems so it would be great if it supported editing and saving in odf & odt formats. Also due to IT security policy we don’t allow the use of cloud based storage services, but we do our sync through resilio sync instead and have it installed on all our devices. It would be great if there was native support to open from resilio sync like the other cloud service integrations.

Only office suite with the features I want

Crashes – Docs: If "Spell Checking" is disabled, the app crashes when switching to/from Web/Page View in any way, without fail. The app won't crash if Spell Checker is enabled, but disabling a constant spell checker (i.e. A resource drain) shouldn't make the app unusable. Cons – App: The text cursor's magnifying glass is REALLY distracting at best: the shadows and highlights make it unnecessaryly skeuomorphic - The default iOS (10) magnifying glass is better simply because, as it's simpler, it doesn't obstruct the text you want to have a closer look at. – Docs: In Web View; relatively large, random chunks of the screen go blank, black, or (rarely) get superposed on top of each other when scrolling or typing. – Docs: In Web View, a zoom of less than about 95% causes tables to stop responding to horizontal movement. Pros + Docs: I really love the Web View feature; hardly any other app has this feature without it being hopelessly broken (i.e. Google Docs) + App: Generally good performance; greatly reliable with very few crashes (look up), and, if it does crash, it prompts a recovery of your unsaved document. Other * Docs: An option to toggle the display of the actions ribbon while in editing mode would be great to restore some screen real state. The keyboard, the blue bar on top, and the actions ribbon take a lot of screen state. * Docs: When saving docx files with this app, then opening them on a desktop MS Word, the app warns about the file containing Custom XML, which is apparently deprecated. This doesn't give much confidence in the app.

Best office suite, only little problems

+ Docs: I really love the Web View feature; hardly any other app has this feature without it being hopelessly broken. Like Google Docs. + App: Generally good performance, not the best; but greatly reliable with the very few crashes it gets, and if it does crash, it DOES, recover your unsaved document without corruption. * Docs: A way to hide the ribbon with editing actions while in editing mode would be great. Having the keyboard, top blue bar AND the action ribbon takes a lot of screen state. * Docs: Something I've noticed when using the files I've edited with this app; when I edit the files using desktop MS Word, it tells me about the existence of custom XML, which... Apparently is bad? And deprecated? I don't know about this. – App: The... Text Cursor. Select. Magnifying glass... Something... It's REALLY distracting at best: with all those highlights and shadows and whatnot; it'd be better to use the default iOS one, which is simple, and doesn't have those effects that get in the way. – Docs: If "Spell Checking" is disabled, the app crashes every time when switching to or from Web layout, with either the Top Bar, or the View section in the ribbon; the app won't crash if Spell Checker is enabled. – Docs: Performance drop in Web View; relatively large, random chunks of the page go blank, or (rarely) get mangled when scrolling or typing. – Docs: On Web View, if you have a zoom of anything LESS than... 95% or so... Tables stop responding to dragging to move them horizontally. – File Picker: At times, when using the "Edit" button, the bottom bar goes completely blank, requiring to exit Edit Mode, access Edit mode once again.

WAY better than Documents to Go!!

Kirk1234

For years I've been looking for an app better than documents to go. An app that works smoothly, opens all my files with their various settings and options, and didn't have that annoying upload wheel every three seconds. This is the app that finally set me free from documents to go! Office suite is cleaner, prettier, and works much faster. I compared it to the native MS excel and word and there's no comparison. It is more functional, familiar, and intuitive than MS's own apps! So impressed I bought the paid pro version after 10 minutes of use. Wrote this review after a week. No problems at all, and I use a lot of complicated spreadsheets too (conditional formatting, averages, countA, sumif, and so on).

Very simular to all view programs

Office knock off

This is a very good program to view all the required documents into one word, excel,PowerPoint,PDF, you have to buy the upgrade version if you want to unlock all the capability and there is add pop ups at the bottom that is annoying

Hard to use

Packrat62

I can’t find anyway to access older word files as advertised!
