Get it

Voodochild

Get it. Current catalogs and pics great. Always want more - but this solid. When you tweak it, it would be great to get a user entry catalog... Simple coding, should be easy. Getting screen to auto rotate would be good too. I have a 42 in dob so a way to sort objects by azimuth would be handy to minimize ladder moves. Transit time sort gets me 90 percent there. Always want more, this is great work. Get it. Find the big scope at OSP to checkout the whole rig.

Great

Great app , best one for planning nights out and star gazing .

Simply excellent

BYUnoDVD

The interface is simple, yet conveys a huge amount of info at a glance. I especially love being able to input the local horizon for any observing site just by tracing it out with my phone. The access to online catalogs is also excellent. For the future, I would love to be able to sync with Astroplanner on my laptop, but this is already a great app and a valuable planning tool.

Awesome

Good site for night planning

Fantastic App!

AstroDr.

Totally worth the $10 - one of the best astronomy apps out there! If you are an observational astronomer, you will use this app every time you observe. Gives you an amazing amount of information about an object's visibility at a glance. The object images themselves are worth the cost, but there is so much more! The ability to enter multiple observing sites and enter and save multiple horizons is fantastic. I'm totally psyched that version 2.0 (as a native iPad app) will be forthcoming soon! This app and SkySafari are all you need for planning an observing run when using an iPad or iPhone (I use both platforms). Thanks for a fantastic app!

Great App!

Mnofi

It does what it says and more! A great observing assistant, simple to use and cleverly designed to meet the observing needs of beginners and pros alike. I had a problem during installation that was not related to the app and Josh got back to me in a matter of hours with the solution. The graphics are not as exciting on the iPad, but the creator is working on a new ver. 2.0 that will take better advantage of the iPad display. However, there is no need to wait since the new version will be a free upgrade!

Excellent

This is a great, informative app for any amateur astronomer!

Great program!!!!

Pineknotpineknot

If you have a goto scope and an iphone, this program is all you need to find the best objects to look at on any given night, now or in the distant future. It is simple and easy to use also. The price is good too. Don't even bother paying big money for a planetarium program like skyview or starmap if you have a goto scope (i bought both and this program makes them obselete). Just get this and you'll have all you need except for the info on the planets. Cheers, Aaron

Needs One More Piece To Be Great

Scopefreak1959

This app is really good, except for one thing; nowhere to enter observing notes or information. Such as seeing conditions, transparency, and cloud cover. It would also be nice to make comments or impressions on each object viewed. Overall, this a great tool for the active observer. Just add in the ability to make notes and it would be a 5 star app all the way.

Great app!

Astro Ed

This app is great! Especially for the dark sky enthusiasts. It gives you all the necessary tools to find those deep sky hard to find objects. I have other night sky apps, but this one Rules over the rest. Finally! There an app that is easy and fun to use for us nighttime observers!!!
