Nice and you need to fix the favorites issue

pinkpantherksa

I like it , The logic says: if the word in my favorite the Star (with the plus) should be turn gold so when i look the word up again it tell me that word in my favorite and it shouldn’t be tread it as a new word! Also it doesn’t sync with iCloud! Suggestions: - I hop to link the dictionary with the google translator so the user can choose his mother language and show the translation of any word I enter. - please make the word list in the favorite movable so i can move the word up and down. - please allow me to import my own list. - Idioms button not working! And all hyperlinks as well. - I need to write a note on any word! - make me to listen to the word voice in the favorite list without entering the dictionary. - we need the number of words next to the name of any folder in favorite list. Thanks

I love this extraordinary and awesome app ☺️

Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary (OALD) is the essential app for anyone learning English. English is my second language; naturally, I have foreign accents. I use this app to ditch my accents and master English. I especially like the two audio pronunciations, British and North American English, and their audio enunciations are excellent. There are some sounds that I find difficult to articulate;therefore, having both two audio pronunciations and enunciation key symbols are extremely helpful to me. Also, I LOVE the clear and high quality audio sentences; no other dictionary apps offer this unique feature. I utilize this app’s favourites feature and save the words to study them and practice pronunciations until my foreign accents have been supplanted with native accents. This app runs really fast, and smoothly and syncs beautifully with my Apple devices as long as I use it online. Best of all, I can use this app both online and offline so I can access it from anywhere at any time without having to rely on Wi-Fi or cellphone airtime; additionally, both audio pronunciations and sentences work either online and offline. This app is an excellent dictionary for anyone learning English. This app helps me to avoid hurdles so I can master English faster and become a native speaker. I love this app! I have made this OALD app as my constant companion. I carry it with me wherever I go. I live with it! I am truly GRATEFUL to have this precious dictionary app. Thank you to developers for this extraordinary and awesome app!

Suggestion for new feature

Danh Nguyen 1993

It is their very good dictionary. However it doesn’t have a feature which is called “quick search” that enables users to look up a new word while they are reading a book in the PDF file or in the Kindle app without switching back and forth between the dictionary and the ebooks . Please add this new feature. People would be more appreciated for this new feature and they are also more happy to pay for the app. Thank you so much.

Pretty good but EW :((

Pls fix 'Not connect to iTunes Store' problem, it's really annoying when I use the app

Best dictionary out there!

Coming from a truly advanced learner, this dictionary is evolutionary. You can't find anything better than this if you want to be wholeheartedly excellent at English.

It was free for downloading, but it will stop you to look up words until you're purchasing updated versions.

Enraged by an Update

Doostinian III

I had the 8th edition and just did an update through the App Store and now it updated to the 9th edition and won't let me past the preview and locks up when I restore the old version onto my phone. If I want to to get the 8th edition back, I have to delete the update and get the 8th for free - since I already purchase it - and download it again. Oh wait, I can't because it's over 100 MB and I need to be connected to Wi-fi. All this for trying to look up the word 'inculcation'!!! I loved my dictionary app but meet did I imagine that the folks at Oxford would sap and screw me like the numerous apps there that exist to make it's developers a quick thousand before people catch on. This was a poor move, Oxford. I'm enraged and very disappointed in you guys.
