I love this app and it has brought much calm to my life in the midst of a wild world but the “mini” keyboard is so incredibly frustrating. Pls fix.

How is Angola not a word, but Googling is? Hi - the country that was around before we even knew we existed. This happens constantly. Also - I’ve tried to cancel my sub for over a month, I’m absolutely amazed this is not in my Apple purchases or subscription list. If you’re going to force me to keep paying you, at least review your puzzles.

The keyboard is broken

After one of the recent updates the keyboard is now horizontally compressed so the buttons are very small and hard to press. This is a 1 star app until that is fixed.

I love doing the crossword but am a bit disappointed at how under-featured the app is. It hasn’t materially updated any new features in years despite the potential for adding fun, deeper stats or more usable/useful navigation (i.e. there are a ton of different links to get to the archive, but there’s no way to access a list of your unfinished crosswords, so I’m pegged at 99.9% since I can’t find the one I’ve supposedly left unfinished!) The recent list doesn’t go any further back than ~a dozen, and the archive itself is slow and choppy to load. There’s no way to see your progress over time or view any stats older than a week by any period except each individual puzzle. You can’t identify puzzles as favorites, search for puzzles by creator, etc. None of this is a huge issue; it’s just that there’s much more potential in this app than the NYT seems to have interest in developing.

I wish I didn’t update. I too now have the tiny keyboard. What was the point of this? Also, why doesn’t this app have the option to match the dark/light mode from the phone settings, like so many other apps do? Other than these annoyances it’s fun if you like crosswords and have the money to spend on a recurring subscription.

Almost perfect for pair puzzling

It would be great if two people could work on a puzzle at the same time. Right now, we have to take turns and ensure that we release the puzzle to get the other persons changes.
