So, it works. That’s where the good news stops. You can only open one file at a time. It’s not simple to do so, it doesn’t auto-overwrite... etc. you have to delete and re-import. It constantly nags you to buy the paid version. At one point I had to click the nag screen ten times straight to get back to the app to delete the file. I understand they want you to use the paid version, but this is blatant abuse of the App Store and the principal of what freemium apps are about.

Not compatible with ArchiCAD

I have not been able to get this app to open DXFs exported from ArchiCAD even though they open easily in eDrawings and SketchUp (both on Mac). The developers tested my files and report it is because nvDXF only recognized certain primitives and ArchiCAD must be exporting more complex shapes. I tried to simplify the export settings, no luck. I'm not claiming there is anything wrong with this app, just that it may not work with your authoring program. Kudos to the developers for making a free version available for testing and for returning my emails promptly.

Why no file share from iTunes so you can just drag and drop? Having to go through the hassle of making e-mails attaching them, opening and moving here is a waste of time. Please fix.

Tried to view a dxf file from email. It loaded with this app but could not be viewed. It only allows one file, forever, to be loaded with the lite version. Useless app

When it loads it gives a black screen. If you try to open a real dxf it says you can only open one file unless you buy the full program. There are no navigation tools to close the BLANK window that opens when the file launches. Waste of time. Remove it from the App Store.
