Recently went through the process of finding an online bank to track business expenses. I read reviews and watched videos about remote banking history and culture. I was impressed with the application process. It was thorough and quick. The mobile banking app allows you to create a payee, link your account to multiple other banks for easy quick transfers and organize earnings.
This app is a great option for business checking. Novo has many great features with minimal fees. I will be using Novo for my future businesses as well.
I’m enjoying it so far, still getting familiar with everything. Only reason I’m giving it 3 stars is because of the waiting periods for ACH and deposits. We all want our money and need it now!!! Once they get those wait times resolved, it’ll be perfect.
New charges will be missing for HOURS after making them. Literally no other bank I’ve ever used has done this, and it’s unacceptable that your bank is incapable of giving you an accurate balance.
Instead of 2 step auth, the bank uses 3 step auth. However I am unable to speak with a human to reset my email to access my account and funds. I was on hold for 40 minutes when calling a random number found in the Novo forums, and get automated responses from every email sent to support. It’s been 2 weeks since I’ve tried to resolve this and no human has gotten back to me. Unacceptable.
Hard to get anyone to respond to inquiries in a timely manner. Inconvenient banking system. TRIED to close my account within a month of opening… still waiting a week later. Too complicated.
I cannot recommend enough against using this bank! Seriously, you will regret it. Let’s list some reasons… - They take several days to fund any transfers. - Mailing a check online will take around 10-15 days. - Their online deposit system doesn’t work. Hear me on this!!! They are an ONLINE bank, and their ONLINE deposit doesn’t work! You’re left with only one option - endorse and snail mail in your check. Security be damned. - They refuse checks that go through a deposit service. We use a physical address mailbox. They offer a check deposit service which would somewhat mitigate the cluster F that is Novo’s dysfunctional deposit system. But no, they won’t accept a check unless it’s endorsed, meaning we can’t even have a business service help us deposit the checks. - No ability to talk to an actual person other than a help chat. If you care about being able to do business efficiently, run far far away from this scam of a bank. It’s been a nightmare since the beginning with nonstop issues.
Be careful when it comes to fraud. They will not support you the least bit it someone steals your information!!
