App needs financial backing

Hoosier1966

This is an important app. I would definitely be helped by it but on a low fixed income I don’t qualify. Adjust the business model to get the health care industry to fund it. Would also use it for falls or accidents.

Bummer

Babyboomer Cindy

I also thought it was a great idea. Unfortunately I couldn’t even accomplish the sign up process. I see from previous review there’s a monthly fee. That’s an automatic no-go for me anyway. Good luck with the app. Your intentions are good.

Good idea bad execution

A cool skeleton

First of all, take off the fee. You are kids. You don't need to sap the mentally ill. Second. I couldn't even make an account. Waited 10 mins and it still didntet me. I have an iPhone 6 running latest ios

Paying for suicide prevention? SMH

JFoster23

I was REALLY excited about this app, even shared it on Facebook for my friends. Got my girlfriend to download it and be one of my contacts. THEN I found out I HAVE TO PAY $2 FOR THE SERVICE EACH MONTH. This is supposed to help prevent people from committing suicide, by charging $2, you are severely shrinking your reach with this app and compromising your integrity. Why are you trying to make a buck or two off of depressed people who are suicidal? Idk about you, but I don’t even pay 99 cents for ANY app or song on iTunes for a one time download. $2 a month is absolutely ridiculous. I saw your story on the news, I empathize, but I lost all respect for you when I went through the entire app and realized I have to pay for it...after a 14 day trial run. This is unconscionable. 10/10 do NOT recommend. Just call or text a friend instead, since you’re already paying for that service.

Ripe off from an otherwise good idea

陳標

It is a rip off From and otherwise excellent idea. Paying the $1.99 per month just to have this app standby is ridiculous. I would rather pay a one time set up fee and have the app available when I need it. It does not cost that much to manage this process. If you are genuine about saving live, I would urge you to reconsider this monthly charge. A lot of people cannot afford it and therefore cannot have access to it.

A company for this? Come on!

xinasuka8

Are you two really try to help people or what? Especially have startup a new company for this? Just two kids? I just doubt that purpose.

Not worth it !

Boltz123

I downloaded this app because I saw it on the news of the two KIDS that made it . I have very trusted friends who worry about me and I thought I would get this to help myself and them out . I opened the app put all my info in and made a account . And then all it said was “subscribe to “not ok” to use safety button “ . Why should I have to pay to let my friends and family know I’m okay ?!? Exactly we shouldn’t .

Amazing!

desimermaid

this app is incredible! i love how a panic button is only one click away!

“Not OK”

zeghsy

Excellent idea. However, not disclosing the $1.99/month subscription fee until you’re finished setting the app up is “not ok”, and rather misleading. Please consider using ads or a onetime purchase price. We’re trying to help in the mental health community, not make money from them. Bad form, Bug and Bee, LLC. Bad form.

Why a monthly fee

Really, a monthly fee??

I was very excited when I heard about this app, as I have a son who suffers from depression. We talked about it and downloaded the app only to find there is a monthly fee involved. Why? Is that necessary? It will certainly be a deterent to people who really need the help. Very disappointing...
