A good mix

This is an excellent mix of good, practical, professional features without getting complicated and expensive. Being able to use multiple password protected notebooks is great. Both private matters and business matters are safe and separable. Being able to generate pdfs and texts makes what you create portable in real world situations. The keyboard additions are a stroke of genius. That is the actual keyboard that apple SHOULD be using. For 99 cents, that is 5 star quality all day. For this price, this may be more of a value than the current version of Pages.

It really works on iPads! I have now clue why people do not like this app!!! It works TERRIFIC on iPads!!!
Some bugs....

I have a first generation iPad. The app loads, but when I went to change the font or color, it crashed. So I tried to just use helvetica and write -- and nothing happened when I typed, then it crashed again. So for the time being, I deleted it. It looks like a nice app, good idea -- still has some bugs!

Great little app, especially for a freebie. Interface sometimes a bit counterintuitive (how 'bout a lock icon to lock a notebook?) It's a very minor thing but it'd also be nice to be able to change the woodgrain background. One of the most impressive things about this app is the super-elegant keyboard. It has arrow keys!! HalfPen should license the keyboard to Apple, who after 4 versions of iOs still hasn't responded to the thousands and thousands of requests for arrow keys.
