Buggy

phantasmical

The writing portion of the program works and so does the learning portion. However the proper sounds don't work. Instead they all sound the same, and they all sound like a sign wave. Every so often the actual sound kicks in. It has potential but needs work

Keeps Crashing

Disneymagicheart103

I can't use the photo score now feature. It's very inconvenient. App can't read notes. Difficult to use. Tedious. Not worth your time.

Crash on iPhone 7 plus

Sombie001

Crash every time when I try to use photo scan even after reboot. Unable to use this app for what I need. Deleted.

OUTSTANDINGLY Terrible !!! Laughably, ridiculously BAD

Drumthumb2000

Its supposed to recognize standard music notation and convert it to printable legit music. It is SO bad at recognition. Something simple like quaternotes and eighth notes in 2/4 - should be simple. NOT! It changes four eighth notes to a single sixteenth note double stop! I try to erase, it becomes a hairpin crescendo. It does consistently ask me if i want to buy the upgrade to get additional features. How about this: make it work on the most fundamental levels and people will buy it. Right now its a ipad toy for. Too bad its not created by professional musicians who understand how musicians write. Maybe a little beta testing would benefit? Just a waste of time now...... can I say something positive? YES: SO VERY GLAD this test-version did not cost any money. I'd be so ticked off if I payed for this laughably terrible app!

Doesn't work

UkuleleBackbeat

Doesn't notate correctly. Alignment of notes is flawed. Unintuitive. Waste of time!

Needs attention

LeonharTak

The idea of writing sheet music directly into an app and having the ability for it to play back is wonderful. However, this app sets you up for frustration. It is not user friendly. It's a fun toy, not a real workflow tool.

No Drum Notation

mwyner

5/17: I tried the app again in hopes that after a year it was usable for drum notation and I could buy the real thing. Nope. While pen recognition is much faster, the app doesn't get cymbal hits (maybe 1/10), even when I use their little symbol guide icons. I also wrote a bass drum note, and it added a flat symbol next to it. I didn't realize drums had flats....very disappointing that this app still is awful for drum notation, even after all this time. My original review below stands (aside from the slow input). App is awful. There’s no support, the user guide doesn’t help at all. I’m trying to add in drum notation, and the only thing I can get it to recognize are quarter notes. If I try drum style 8th notes (with the bar), they disappear from the screen. I even watched a 3rd party video, and it doesn’t work. Also very very slow to recognize input from the stylus. i downloaded this since if I liked it I would’ve bought the full program, but with no support, and just extreme frustration, that’s not going to happen.

iPad Pro w/Apple Pen....Great!!

Way jazz

I've been using this app for I think 3 years now, first on my Android Samsung Note with S pen which I love it. However recently bought a iPad Pro and the results are the same if good if not better! *I the key to getting the best results from this app is having the right apparatus when entering notes; Android S Pen, Apple Pen and Notate me recommends another to use on tablets... too. Enjoy!!

ITS OK
