I tried this in the theater, when they announced the Noovie game I launched the app. It has a very long load time on my iPhone 8 Plus which really eats into the brief window of gameplay they give you. And there isn’t much to the games themselves. The racing game has poor frame rate in the the first part.

I downloaded the app with the hope to kill a few minutes while waiting for the movies to start. It turns out they rarely give the opportunity to use it. They’d much rather play 20 minutes of advertisements while you wait. I guess the exorbitant prices they charge for movies isn't enough anymore.

I like the concept but unless you’re in the right spot, getting the camera to activate the game can be annoying. So I’m just going to uninstall. I’d have to change my seat in order to scan & play
