NextPVR is free media center software you can install on a Windows PC, which enables the use of ATSC / DVB / Analog TV tuners, and other supported video capture devices. With NextPVR installed on your PC, this app lets you watch Live TV, view the TV Guide, manage your recording schedule, and watch recordings.

Requirements:
- NextPVR 4.2.1 or higher running on a PC on your local network.
- TV Tuner or video capture device supported by NextPVR. This software supports most DVB-T / DVB-C / DVB-S / ATSC / QAM digital tv tuners.

NextPVR is by far the best, most-customizable, better-supported TV recording software. If you have a TV Tuner in your computer or your network, there's nothing this software can't do: recording, archiving, transcoding, extracting subtitles... Now with the iPhone/iPad app you can control your tuners, your recordings, your schedules... Everything, from anywhere in the world. Plus, it turns your NextPVR installation into a a Slingbox for live or recorded TV streaming. Highly recommended. And pretty stable for a 1.0 version.

I have an iPhone 6s Plus and I was really looking forward to this app. However, when I try to load the app, it just force quits on me. Any ideas?

Have been waiting many years for this. Have been a long time user of NextPVR and former incarnations. Works great so far, discovered my server and brings up a much better interface than using the web. EPG, recording control and live tv.

A real nice start, can stream full HD to my iPod touch 5th gen smooth as can be. Set up recordings too. Unfortunately the guide is unusable, crashes every time.

This app is nearly perfect the way it is. If we just had the ability to pause and rewind live tv I think it would be perfect.

I think it's a pretty good app in general, but it's not awesome. When you record something in the guide there's no indicator that you've done it. Also, getting connected is a little hit or miss. My guess is that only one connection can be made at a time.

If, like me, you are a user of NPVR then this app is a must have. It gives you access to your entire NPVR library on your iPad and other iOS devices. Worked right out of the box. Even shows commercial breaks indicated by Comskip. Two thumbs up!

Recent improvements in the app have made this one a real winner. An incredible accomplishment really, to be able to watch over the air broadcasts on my mobile device. Worth every cent.
