Sync Stink

DogandPony

Nice app but sync does not work.

Very misleading

Jhatzis99

So I installed app based on info in email from Airmail. Within email they indicate WatchOS as part of release. There is no watchOS support. They lost iPhone and iPad on App Store. The app is not listed in Watch App Store. Also in general the app is buggy and you can’t customize beyond paying for a premium subscription. Uninstalling.

Lacking

CharlesJ5

Lacks in so many areas that I can’t force myself to continue using for more than a couple minutes. Who curated the list of news websites? Why can’t I search for a specific website? Why does an article preview need to take up the entire screen? I fail to see how this iOS version compares at all to the inbox view on Mac OS.

Beta - no care to details - spelling errors

Kamin123

Cannot search for source. Major sources missing. Multiple sources with spelling errors including a couple of news category names. This is very beta and very plain-looking with multiple inaccuracies. I can’t believe they released this app in its current state. Solicited by Airmail app developer who should be more concerned with fixing issues in their email app.

Meh.

1. Can’t import existing feeds from anywhere (like Feedly, for example) ... you take their choice or you manually add feeds one by one. 2. Can’t change their layout to be more headline-dense. Or in any way at all. 3. Subscriptions nets you changing themes and self-spamming emails. Even at a buck a month, this is a ludicrous ask. Not impressed, particularly in light of many good non-subscription (or free) competitors. Might check back in a few versions, but ... other than the subscription, I’m not seeing anything that makes this product stand out from the crowd.

Pretty, but not very functional

C Bang

I didn’t see any way to search for new feeds or add my own url (only browse their directory). There’s no article listing; each shows up full screen and you flip between them. The hiding of the status bar on iPhone X prevents you from having any idea what time it is or how long you’ve been reading. I’m not sure who this app is targeted at, but it’s not a long-term RSS feed reader like me.

Reeder is far ahead of this

Bashfull

Can’t seem to add my own feeds and if I can it’s not obvious. I don’t need a listing of news I get already on the Apple News app. Don’t get the purpose of this.

It has potential to be great.

S.till

The UI is really nice, but you can’t read full articles, even for the sites that support Full-RSS.

Terribly lackluster

ntrop9

Can’t view list of articles. Only full articles one at a time. No apparent option to mark unread. No help documentation, e.g. to describe the force touch option to star. The third screenshot appears to be fake. I can not locate any such functionality in the app.

fails to save RSS selections

nyagrodha

The premium app fails to save my selections on iOS, and fails to sync across to macOS. This would be my third time selecting sources Also, the formatting of the push notifications I'd describe as sloppy at best. All sorts of clutter symbols show up for many of the sources. Then the sources don't save for me. 2 stars only because the concept is fantastic and I'm looking forward to the interface updates. Pro-rating my premium subscription would be appreciated.
