As an older, very experienced gamer and review writer (Old Rooster), I found NY 2 so enjoyable I played it twice, something I rarely do. The story is intriguing; graphics are very colorful and detailed; cut scenes are well done and acted; puzzles are fun; the hint and map systems effective. I haven't written even a little review in years, but this wonderful game has an A+ rating from me and should be a must purchase for you! BTW, get the Collectors Edition - well worth the bit extra.

Right off, I love the fact that this company isn't a Big Fish contributor. This way, they can keep their integrity! Fore-going that little kernel of joy, the games themselves are fantastic. I'm to the point now that I buy every NY Mysteries game, wether I've tried it out or not. I stopped doing that with other games awhile ago; so it's wonderful that I'm confident enough with a gaming company to know I'll enjoy the game, & that I'm not just throwing my money away. Needless to say - I really enjoyed NY Mysteries 2, & that I highly recommend it!

The NY Mysteries I've played are great hidden object adventures. The puzzles are challenging, and there's a great variety. The hidden objects scenes are unique in that they're goal-oriented: You find various objects to use to construct or attain something else you need for the overall game, rather than searching for random, irrelevant objects. It's a bit light on the hidden object scenes compared with similar games, but I like it that way. I've also played the first of the NY mysteries series and highly recommend that one as well. And I plan on checking out all the other Five-BN games--they haven't disappointed me yet!
