I think the NYC Subway is among the best in the world. Not the most fancy but it is super reliable. Best feature of this app is the abilty to favourite you trains and get notifications. Good free app for NY.

Whenever I need to look at this map I'm in a hurry and an adds pop up where I can't click out of it for 15 seconds. There are better maps out there.

Used it for the first time this weekend and it's impressively simple. Favorite the lines you use most for notifications of service charges to get max use of it

Now has the new second ave subway extention (which was missing for a whole four day! first world probs, eh?!). the app has more maps but somehow is a reduced file size. clever guys. good app.
Intuitive and simple

This is one of those apps that don't require wifi to download the map each time you open it. It also informs you of live updates on train delays. Overall, highly recommended for daily commuters.

worthy free app for NYC, MTA and NJ. lots of free maps and subway alerts makes it more useful than google maps or a hard to reach and slow web site. good work.
