So much potential, not there quite yet

I have a reading impairment and have been looking for better ways to read books, articles, PDFs, etc. for ages. Unfortunately, one of the biggest issues I have with all the TTS software I’ve come across, even the pricey ones, is the voice options. I can’t stand the robotic-sounding voices, and often they are inaccurate as well. I stumbled across this app and when I gave it a try I was blown away by the quality of the voice. It is by far the most natural sounding voice I’ve heard and I was so excited. Unfortunately, in its current state the app doesn’t meet my needs as the character limit is so low, even for a paid subscription. This is such a shame to me as, for what I do, I need to read quite a lot of lengthy books. For very short snippets, this is a wonderful app. If this app ever upgrades its capabilities to supporting book-length files, and especially if it were ever able to support EPUBs in addition to PDFs, I would frankly be willing to spend a pretty penny on it. Aside from length constraints, I do also wish there was a way to see the text while the voice is reading at the same time. I do, however, really appreciate the ability to export the audio. I really hope the developers continue working on and expanding this app for the sake of those of us with various impairments and disabilities, because this could easily become the best TTS software IMO. I’ll be keeping my eye out on this one.

I think that this is the best TTS app in terms of the natural sounding voice but the ability to handle more content is lacking big time. This app would be perfect if it could handle book length content or even chapters at a time.

The limits on the free version is ridiculous…it’s a bait and switch to get you to download. Even the paid versions are limited and only the pro version allows you unlimited reading and it is expensive. Not worth it.

The MOST natural sounding speech out there

Hands down, this sounds like a real human being reading to/for you. There are several **novel** voices as well, unlike other apps that essentially offer you all of the voices that your apple product already has in addition to maybe one or two 'premium voices'. This offers you several of those premium voices but they are all offered together, at a reasonable price. The only annoying thing is that you have to enter the text. It would be so much better if they would somehow allow us to highlight text from the web, Adobe, office, iBooks, other apps and essentially anywhere so that we can use it to listen to anything in these natural sounding voices.
Subscription plans are expensive

I was stumped by the quality of the voices and was willing to subscribe if not for very poorly designed and expensive subscription plans. Given the lack of features like auto scroll/read along etc, many features from the apps like speechify are missing and cost of this app is much more expensive than the app. I would return back to this app if the plans and features are justifiable and comparable. I am not paying unduly premium for it. But congrats for making the voices much more desirable and humanly sounding.

Question. I am an author, and this APP would be exactly what I need if it has the option to save the audio files that it reads in MP3 format. If it will create my audio books, I will be subcribing to your annual version!!!
