Great, uncomplicated fun.
Tl;dr its good
If you want to play a golf game that doesn't rely on micro-transactions, advertisements, and doesn't feel p2w, this is a great choice. Never played any previous version so I reserve judgement when it comes to the accuracy of the port, but it works and feels like am arcade game on your phone. Easy to pick up and play, hard to master, as a game it's probably the best and purest form of golf to be had in the app store. Worth the small one time cost for sure.
Best golf game on iOS

Best arcade golf game you can find on the App Store. This was a staple on the Neo Geo back in the 90s and works perfectly as a mobile game. Easy to learn but really deep gameplay. And great personality :)

Brilliant old-school title ported flawlessly to the platform. Thanks, DotEmu! Note: backspin is added by making a quick downward swipe on the middle of the screen prior to setting altitude. An icon will appear when this is done correctly. Hat tip to the TouchArcade forum dwellers. Update: Thanks for the continued support!

Don't like how small the area to stop your shot meter is and how your finger obscures it. If there were a separate button off to the side to stop your swing, it would be perfect.

Excellent game for the iPhone. Better than the candy golf games out there. For a game from the 90s there's great attention to detail. Runs flawlessly. They did it right back in the Neo Geo days

This game is just about timing. It's so incredibly easy. The graphics and game play are terrible.

No local stats No local scores. PATHETIC! There's no save system No name entry. You are "player 1" And how the hell do you avoid TREES??!! Shooting high is impossible. Shooting between them is impossible because theres not enough graphical detail. This game misses some of the most basic concepts that should be in a game. Terrible, SUCKY game.
