I didn’t want to leave a bad review, but after reaching out to support and not receiving any type of response back I feel this was my only option. This is a fun game, really engaging, but anytime i complete a tourney and I’m “rewarded” with gems, I don’t receive them. This issue has been going on for two days with no response back from support.

Continues to peek your interest!

Monster games have always been my favorite. I love being able to evolve them into more sophisticated creatures with stronger skill sets. This game I have consistently logged into for over a year. The updates help keep the story flowing and new monster additions add to the longevity of the game.

Great game

It’s a great game but I wish that the would work on the controls a little and make more to where it’s a joy stick or button so you move your own character

Bring back Dragon Island Blue

Literally all you need to do is take your old game and port it to the newer updated iOS. No bug fixes, no content updates; ZigZaGame there is literally a MASSIVE fan base across Reddit, discord etc trying their hardest to recreate the game because your team stopped updating it. I purchased the game, fell in love with it, and it was unplayable after owning it only a few months and you let us all down. BRING DRAGON ISLAND BLUE BACK!

Fun game so far

Ezra18

It’s a pretty fun game so far. I’ve only just joined the Rookie League, but I’ve capture some cool mons already. The battle system and training system I’ve never seen before so I think it’s pretty unique and fun. Only gripe is they keep throwing the special egg hatches in your face when you go back to base. You have free gems that you can collect doing the story and then there are paid gems that can only do some hatches. Pretty fun game though.

Nothing is perfect, but for $.99?? This game comes close

A Neomonsters top player

I downloaded Neomonsters about 2 months after its release, and here I am in 2021 STILL playing daily, so I definitely have authority to give an honest review. I don’t know what it is about this game but I love it. It’s fun, it’s (almost) free, and it can be played as competitively or casually as you want. People complain about mythics or about the paywall a lot, but honestly that’s just any game. They have to make money, and they do that by people buying stuff. I have only spent a total of I think $10 on this game(which I didn’t get a single legendary with by the way), and have still relatively easily managed to rank in the top 50 during PvP seasons. There is so much strategy that goes into the gameplay - it isn’t just throwing money at the screen until you win. Speaking of gameplay, it’s excellent. The moves are well explained and there is plenty of help through both Monster Analysis and just plain skill descriptions to help anybody catch on. Seconds are easy to understand and easy to get a hang of, while also taking time to fully master. Team building is just flat out fun - there’s so much variety and flexibility in terms of choosing who to use where and how different monsters interact with each other. Gameplay is an easy 9/10. The only thing holding it back is that certain PvE battles and events can feel really grindy, repetitive, or RNG based. But that’s why they have PvP, which is regularly balanced and updated with special rules to spice up team building even more. This is a lot of positive feedback, because I do love this game, but it certainly isn’t without flaw. I find it weird that the game is still called Neomonsters Dragon Trained when it seems like the only things their adding are Waifus now. I understand market trends and all that stuff, but it is just a little annoying seeing another set of massive breasts instead of a cool looking dragon or something. And speaking of Waifus, yes there is a problem with the paywall. You pay money, you win easier. It’s not guaranteed, but fully evolved mythics are very powerful and can make battles much less stressful. Like I said, I’ve hardly spent anything and still manage to rank high, but it’s incredibly difficult to beat a player who has spent 100s of dollars on this game. Additionally, there are issues with events being repetitive or grindy like I said. Monster analysis doesn’t update instantly with monster balances, some monsters are totally useless and have been overshadowed by new things, but all of these are small issues. This game isn’t perfect, no game is, but it’s very good. I do have one more thing to say which is the reason my friend stopped playing, the mid-game is very hard. You get stuck on the Main Story and then go as far as you can and get stuck on the Online Story and you just don’t have the monsters to do it. That’s hard to handle and it takes a while to overcome. My best advice is do the online events rotation as much as you can. They give good rewards that can help you get new monsters and better monsters. SAVE YOUR GEMS. I know it’s tempting to open single packs but the 10 for 40 is such a better deal. And if you’re patient, they run legend festivals every so often where drop rates increase. If you’re stuck in the mid-game trap, I’m sorry. I’ve been there, too. But believe me, when you make it to the end game, top level PvP, stage 1000 in Ultimate Challenge, you look back and realize the grind was worth it. I love Neomonsters, I always have and always will. I have gotten more than I ever could have imagined out of my $.99 that I spent in 2015. This game is amazing, although not without flaws of course. I highly recommend giving it a try, I’ve tried my best to be honest and helpful in this review. Thanks for reading and thank you, Zigzagame for this masterpiece.
